Jennifer Calvert is an Australian Author. Jennifer grew up in the coastal town of Port Macquarie NSW, and since a young age has enjoyed reading and writing stories. Her love for story-telling was fostered by her mum who spent quality time reading to her. It was through this special bond that she saw the benefits of sharing quality time and the strong bonds shared between adult and child, by reading stories.

Now Jennifer reads to her own girls, 4.5 years and 16 months and is dedicated to nurturing a strong love of reading and writing for young children and is to publish her own children’s picture book this year. Which has been another special journey shared with her daughters.

Jennifer has a Bachelor of Arts, majors in writing and media with an extensive background in Early Childhood Education.

Jennifer is also passionate about poetry and is always busy creating beautiful, thought-provoking poems.

Jennifer’s debut poetry collection Horns & Halos showcases Jennifer’s unique style of dark romance and vivid imagery. Following the beating of hearts and the essence of love.

Jennifer is the Processing Manager for Ocean Reeve Publishing, and is passionate about helping other creatives to achieve their book publishing dreams. Jennifer is also a  Committee Member of the Gold Coast Writers Association.

  4. Hello Jennifer,
This isn’t my usual thing, but I’ve nominated you for a web-log award (which means you’ve won a melodramatically-titled award composed entirely of words and pixels, and I know you may have had your fill of these…), and you are welcome to collect your ‘trophy’.
You are under NO obligation or expectation to do anything as a consequence; but you have been named as a web-log I value. Take that howsoever you choose, and I hope you enjoy!
